Understanding the Sacred Energies
Nawales
All things — living and not living — have a spirit essence called a Nawal. It is the cosmic force, or guardian spirit inherent in every plant, animal, person, and day.
There are 20 Nawales, and together with the numbers 1 through 13, they form the full 260-day sacred day count of the Cholq’ij calendar (known as the Tzolk’in in Yucatec Maya).
The Nawal defines the energy of the day itself. And when you were born, the Nawal of that day becomes your birth energy— shaping your strengths and weaknesses, your unique talents and gifts, and the path you walk in this life.
Made with the Sacred Calendar
Every batch we make carries the Nawal of the day it was made — its own energy, woven in through a small ceremony and offering as we work.

*Due to small-batch production, not all Nawales are available at the same time.
